Finding Your Way Back

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

I remember as child of about nine years old, I wandered off from my parents at the Illinois State Fair as the lure of some smooth and sing song “Carnival Caller” mesmerized me with their rhythmic call,  “Be a winner. Yes, you. Come on, now. You can do it. One straight throw and the BIG  bear is yours. There’s a winner every time.  No one goes away empty handed.”

Loud and crisp the voice called out. I strayed to the voice and did not even notice that I no longer could see my mom or my dad. I wanted what the caller offered. I wanted to see the BIG bear. I wanted to throw the ball. As I came up to the booth where the caller was, I realized he  was not really  speaking directly to me; he was just calling out to anyone who would listen. It was at that moment fear gripped me like a mighty vice and  I realized that I could not see my mom and my dad. I instantly began to cry. I did not know how I would find my way back to them. It was only a matter of seconds that I cried, and then my dad was right there in front of me as if by a miracle. I was glad that I was back with my parents where I felt safe.

Have you ever been lost in your business quest; gotten off track, wandered far from your love and passion? Have you ever been lured away from your true calling by the sing song chant of the employer who promises a dollar for your minute of life?  Did you hear the chant ? Were you mesmerized? Did you wander?

Don’t worry if you  have had this happen to you. We have all been lured. We have all thought we should head a different direction than we were going. We have all looked for safety in stale places…at least once  on our business journey. What matters most though, is not being lost; it is finding your way Back; Back to the path of income source that makes you happy. Back to a safe place that allows you to be creative. Back to work that helps others while supplying a living for you. If you are lucky a true friend will come take your hand and rescue you. That is the mark of a real friend; one who cares enough to throw out the life line and bring you back to the “pasture of peace”.

Coming home is always good. It feels right and easy. The hard part is leaving the land of the lost…and finding your way back. Just know that the trip is more than worth it as you do that which you love everyday.

Blessings of a straight path home!

Calling All Six Figure Wanna Be’s

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

” Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words can never hurt you”. Do remember that little diddy from childhood days? I sure do and I remember thinking that I do not know who said that names would not hurt me, but I believe they were mistaken. Name calling hurts; especially when the name you are called is not a “nice” name. In business I have found that there is truly one name that I do not want to be called. That name is a “Perpetual Wanna Be”. It’s meaning is bound to one who continually says they “want to do, be, have” and yet they never do anything to make it happen.

It is absolutely grand to have a vision of one day reaching business sales in the six and seven figure numbers. Those who have that dream and are working a plan to manifest that dream can rightfully  be called a “Six Figure Wanna Be”. The difference in the “Perpetual Wanna Be” and the “Six figure Wanna Be” is that the first one has no plan to take action other than lip service and the latter is working on their plan to make it happen.

The development of a six figure business is definitely within your reach. It is actually in the reach of everyone who lives, but for some reasons we may never know, many deserving people will never experience the thrill of owning their own business nor will they experience the financial freedom that can be created by their business success. They doubt opportunity and walk away from its potential. They make excuses why they can not do what they so want to do instead of searching to discover how to make it happen.

Their family and friends hear them say they want to change their life, start a business, move to a new location, but these things are only words and are not followed by performance. When this “words without performance” continues for months and even years, this “wanting something different in life, yet doing nothing to create a different outcome” the results produce what I call a “Perpetual Wanna Be”.

Remember, it is healthy and good to want to change your life, your life work, and your dreams and goals, but only when action is applied to get a new and different result.  This year when you go to your networking events and you fill out your name tag….be sure to write the name you want to be called and that is a “Six Figure Business Owner”.

Blessings to YOU, this year’s six figure business owner!…I love calling you that!!!

New Income Opportunities

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

I met with a business friend last week . She too is a coach and marketing strategist. We laughed and talked for hours sharing our many successes and challenges that have transpired throughout the past year. It is always heart warming to have someone in a similar field to share with. Our talk did navigate toward the “new and upcoming” year, 2009. We both have “Big Goals, Big Dreams, and Big Plans”.  Our outlook is positive and our hopes set high. Such is the view of the optimist, but it too is the view of the realist. I say realist because it is VERY real to wake up each day and have an abundance of opportunity before you. Opportunity for business start up, growth, happiness, health, wealth, and all good things. It begins in the mind and it starts with a plan.

There was one common denominator in our “2009 Plans” and that was our vision for “New Income Opportunities”. You see, even though we both have experienced effects of the economic roller coaster this past year, we both feel that there are great and New Income Opportunities on the horizon of 2009. I am very excited and so is my friend.

Today, I want to leave you thinking about your “2009″ new income opportunities.

1.  How are you generating your income?

2   Are you happy with what you make?

3.  What would you rather be doing to generate your income or are you satisfied with what you are doing?

4.  If you are wanting change, what interests you and what are you skilled at?

5.  Write down three ways you could get your boss or company to “pay you more” for what you have to offer.

6.  If you own your own business, what is your best money making product and service?

7. List three ways you have not tried to market this “best seller”.

8.  List two new products or services that you have been thinking about creating for your business but have not taken action in getting it up and going.

I hope these questions give you some direction and thought toward your income for 2009. The great thing about life is that each day that you wake up is another twenty four hour opportunity to plan, see, do, feel, and create what you desire.

Start thinking about your new income opportunities and make a plan to take action. Be sure to write down your thoughts and re read them over the next couple weeks. I would love to hear from you about your new ideas that spring forth from this posting.

Blessings for many, many new income ideas!

Bountiful Income …Beautiful Life…LOOK HERE

Friday, November 28th, 2008

Thanksgiving is such a reflective holiday for me. I truly have so much to be thankful for. I do not believe though in giving thanks only on special occasions. No, I believe in giving thanks always and IN all things. This is not to say that I am thankful FOR the event that is quite painful and challenging occurring, but that AS IT is occurring I try to focus on and LOOK for the many things that I am thankful for. So often we get caught up in the vicious whirling life of “trying to make a living” that we lose our ability to feel gratitude. So when a holiday finally arrives, we pause for the day, think about how hectic, scrambled, mixed up, lost, weary our life is as we strive to create income in exchange for our life energy, and we feel trapped, tired, and less than thankful!

Sound familiar? If this sounds like your life and you are wondering how I could write as if I know what it feels like, well, that is because I too lived that exact way for years. It was not until I learned the secret to Living and Loving Life While Earning a Bountiful Income that I realized how different life can BE if your LOOK for it to be! Just know that if you will look at things in a different way than usual, you will see things you have never seen before. You may see that:

  • BOUNTIFUL INCOMES and BEAUTIFUL LIVES really do go together.
  • BOUNTIFUL INCOMES  and BEAUTIFUL LIVES can be created where ever you are in life.
  • BOUNTIFUL INCOMES and BEAUTIFUL LIVES are not reserved for a select few (though they only occur for a select few…purely because only a select few LOOK for that life)

If you believe that there is ONLY one way to creating a bountiful income then that WILL BE the ONLY way you will generate income. Now it might be bountiful and it might not be.…The BIG question though is will it ever produce a beautiful life for you? What I mean by this is: will you love what you do to create that income? Will you feel like what you get up and do everyday is worthwhile? Does it allow you to serve mankind at the greatest level you have the potential to serve, and will this income source allow you to focus on the great people in your life, when you want and in all things that you want?

This is a BIG order I know, but then, BIG, BOUNTIFUL, and BEAUTIFUL lives are not just your ordinary lives.

I challenge you this holiday season to think about all the things you DO have to be grateful for. LOOK at the many ways you have available to create the life of your dreams. They really do exist, if you will SEE them.

Instead of watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” several times this holiday season, why not watch it once and then get busy working out the details for your Beautiful life! The rewards will be bountiful!

Blessings for the most beautiful life you can imagine!

Stand Firm…Let Nothing Move You

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

“THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO DO WHEN I GROW UP”, says the ten year old boy to his father, as they work together building a bird house from scrap lumber.

How many of us remember saying the exact words of that ten year old?

How many of us remember the response we received to that statement from those significant others in our lives?

Perhaps you were one of the lucky ones who had people supporting you in your dreams and you became that which you so dreamed of being. Or perhaps you were one who was told, “YOU CAN’T DO THAT..YOU’RE NOT SMART ENOUGH, FAST ENOUGH, STRONG ENOUGH, OR “NO ONE MAKES A LIVING DOING THAT”.

Ahhhh….. the negatives. We have all received them; some more than others. Negatives, if only tossed at us in a blowing breeze, are harmless, but if they take root and grow they can stop us from reaching our dreams. The best way to stop the negatives is to do just the opposite…STAND FIRM…LET NOTHING MOVE YOU. Yep, that is right. Have your dreams. Write them down, for “dreams placed on paper become lives fully lived.” When you write your dreams down it gives you a mental picture of what it looks like. When you see it in your mind, you then start to feel it. You feel like the image of your dream grows bigger and bigger each time you think about it. Soon your dream is BIG…FIRMLY PLANTED IN YOUR MIND.

Just like dirty dishes and dirty laundry, negatives and negative speakers, will ALWAYS be with you.

I don’t know about you, but I am pretty good at ignoring dirty dishes and dirty laundry, especially when I have more fun and important things to do. Focus on your dream, not the negatives and I guarantee that the negatives will be heard less and less. Stand firmly in what you want to achieve….let nothing move you. Amazing things happen when we go after what is in our heart to achieve for the good of others. Remember to stand firmly and go after your hearts calling.

Blessings of strength to stand firmly today!
